Our story dates back to 1972.
Our founders, Clarence Mou and family, migrated from their native Taipei, Taiwan, to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue the American Dream along with their passion for food. In the early 1980s, they opened their first family-owned restaurant, Countrywood Dim Sum. They crafted a menu using generations-old recipes – including their signature potstickers – and prepared each one from scratch straight from their own kitchen.
People loved eating them. Nearly as much as the restaurant loved making them. And when their customers clamored for larger quantities of potstickers they could make at home, it was time to think bigger. So they expanded from their single kitchen, and in 1986 began selling product in retail outlets. Now Ling Ling® potstickers are available throughout the US!
Because our customers' appetites grew, so did our product line. We've added egg rolls and spring rolls to our naturally made menu, and made them available at warehouse club stores and supermarkets nationwide. And although we've come a long way since our first batch of potstickers, we still prepare each appetizer with care. Just like we did in our first kitchen. Just like we'll help you do in yours.
Keep up with Ling Ling.
